We are delighted to be partnering with Millie’s Trust to provide a Family First aid course on Saturday 8th October 2016 from 10am to 4pm. Millie’s Trust provides opportunities for families to attend a First Aid course at the lowest possible cost. They believe that hosting Family First Aid courses is a great way to offer local families the opportunity to cover some simple topics which ensure that parents feel more prepared in the event of any emergency.
The family sessions teach how to administer first aid in a range of emergency situations. If you would like to book a place on this session then please email Stacey at firstname.lastname@example.org or call on 01565 830083.

As a family run business, we have always ensured that all of our staff team have regular and robust paediatric first aid training. We feel that the existing statutory guidelines of one first aid trained staff member on site at any time would not provide enough support for children or staff members in the case of an emergency. Therefore we consistently have over 95% of staff qualified in paediatric first aid (this has been our in-house policy since 2005). Our team complete a 12 hour comprehensive paediatric first aid course and this is refreshed every 3 years.
We are delighted that from September 2016, new legislation will be in place to ensure that any newly qualified staff with a childcare level 2 and 3 qualification must have an emergency paediatric first aid or full paediatric first aid certificate – a change that will add approximately 15,000 additional trained early year’s practitioners to nurseries and pre-schools each and every year. Millie’s Trust was pivotal in enabling and facilitating this change and we wholeheartedly support this.
